The Original Chewy Peps - Molasses - 16 oz bag

The “Old Fashion chewing peppermints” as they were called back then, were one of my favorites when I was young. The last place to sell them that I knew of was Shaws Ice Cream parlor, then they closed many years ago. I was surprised to find this Chewy Peps store online, I thought they were forever lost! I was delighted at how delicious they were, just like I remember. You have to try them but careful, they are addicting! I dare you to eat just one! Love the molasses flavor too! Thanks for continuing to make them!

I first discovered molasses peppermint at a candy shop (Nelson’s—Murphys, CA) about 20 years ago. Love the flavor and how the candy becomes chewy in your mouth. Nelson’s stopped making them. I’ve looked for years in candy store I come across, as well as online. Stop the clock! I found Chewy Peps on Amazon but the price was too high. Eventually I went to the website and ordered directly. The first molasses peppermint I had, brought me back in time. Just like I remembered. Slight problem, I just can’t eat just one! Treat yourself and order some!

This candy is the most incredible and I am sooooo grateful they started making it again. One try and everyone I know is hooked. They are delicious. I give them to my family members and friends and have never had anyone think otherwise. My fav is to pop one piece of molasses and one plain peppermint in my mouth at the same time. Heaven.
